Our Original Building Became Too Small
For 20 years our agency headquarters was at 333 Turk Street. As programs were added, the building became too small to house all of our clients and staff. Some programs were relocated to rented sites nearby. When the building next door at 315 Turk Street became available in 1999, the Board of Directors decided to buy the building, renovate it, and consolidate our programs into one location.
315 Turk Street, a Full-Service Facility
When we acquired 315 Turk, as part of our mission, we converted the rental units in the building into Section 8 housing for homeless seniors. We now provide studio apartments for 13 seniors and a residential manager, with elevator access. The basement of 315 Turk contains staff office and conference space, as well as facilities for students and volunteers.
Program Facilities, Confidential Interviews
The first floor of our building at 315 Turk contains facilities for programs and much-needed confidential-interview rooms. This floor is completely accessible for our frail and disabled clients.
