Full-Range Programs in a Home-like Atmosphere
Case Management
Low-income seniors may not be aware of opportunities that are available to them. Our case managers assist clients in obtaining income and housing, medical escorts, meal delivery, money management, and other services. They provide Medicare and Medi-Cal counseling, and help arrange for homemakers. We provide these services in two ways:
- Long-term case management for housed seniors
- Short-term case management for homeless seniors
Meal Program
We offer breakfast and hot lunch daily to seniors over 60 (catered by Project Open Hand every day of the year).
Socialization
Education—Our bilingual staff offers community programs for recent immigrants, developmentally disabled seniors, isolated seniors, and gay/lesbian/transgender/bisexual seniors.
Multilingual Translation, Information, and Referral
Translation services, information and referral services, and classes in English and citizenship assist new residents. The Center also offers the comfort of meals and social gatherings with others of similar cultural background. Translation services are offered in Cambodian, Cantonese, Lao, Mandarin, Filipino, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Housing for Homeless Seniors
Our facility is home to 13 studio apartment units of permanent, SRO housing for formerly homeless seniors. A resident manager and transitional case manager assure that long-homeless senior residents are stabilized and acquire the skills needed to re-enter the community.
