Connections: A Web of Togetherness 2023 Gala

Tickets and sponsorships are now available for Curry’s 2023 Gala on Friday, September 29th at 5:30 PM at the InterContinental San Francisco. Connections: A Web of Togetherness is this year’s theme. We will celebrate how our connections have been vital in Curry’s ability to address the digital divide, build the new Tech and Wellness Hub+, and continue to provide essential services to older adults.
This year’s celebration is sure to be full of heartfelt thank yous, laughs provided by emcee Diane Dwyer, and of course, Curry Senior Center’s “joie de vivre” that has made our previous galas so elegant and exciting. Auction items up for bid this year include hotel stays, ziplining, and tickets to Alcatraz! Tickets and further details can be found on the gala website.
2023 Honorees:
Delta Dental Community Care Foundation with the Francis J. Curry Award
Since 1955, Delta Dental of California has offered comprehensive oral health care coverage to millions of enrollees and built the strongest network of dental providers in the country. Delta Dental’s purpose is to improve health by providing access to quality care. It is committed to building healthy, resilient communities in which people can live and thrive with dignity. Delta Dental is particularly focused on addressing the oral health crisis among our nation’s older adults and is proud to support Curry Center’s mission. Curry Center is grateful for the generous funding we receive from Delta Dental that enables us to support the health and wellness of older adults.
Urban Alchemy with the Joseph Mignola Award
Urban Alchemy staff serve as community ambassadors in the Tenderloin. Ambassadors help promote safer streets for older adults by de-escalating challenging situations, keeping sidewalks walkable, and providing friendly faces to all in the community.
Pat Swan with the Vera Haile Award
Pat Swan has been a key volunteer on the Curry Senior Center Gala Committee for nearly ten years, serving as the Event Producer. Her commitment has been instrumental in ensuring every year’s event’s success.
