Frequently Asked Questions
How old do you have to be to volunteer?
Volunteers must be 18 or older.
Where is the site for meals and bingo?
We are located at 333 Turk Street (between Leavenworth and Hyde). On the right-hand side of the building, you will see a black door. Enter the door and walk up the stairs and you will be at the Curry Senior Center Dining Room. This is also where bingo is played.
What should I wear to the meal site or bingo game?
Wear something casual. You’ll be on your feet serving meals. Hats are required for meal service. They are provided but if you choose, you may bring your own.
Should I talk to the seniors?
Yes, we encourage all volunteers to socialize with the seniors.
Can I volunteer more then once or on a consistent basis?
If you want to volunteer regularly, fill out an application and Curry Senior Center will need to do a background check. We will work to fit your interests with the needs of the organization.
