In 1999, we acquired the building at 315 Turk. In keeping with our mission, we converted the rental units in the building into Section 8 housing for homeless seniors. These units became available in late 2003, providing studio apartments with elevator access for 13 seniors, as well as a residential manager. The resident manager and a transitional case manager assure that formerly homeless senior residents achieve stability and acquire the skills needed to re-enter the community.
Completely accessible to frail and disabled clients, the first floor of 315 Turk contains facilities for programs and confidential interview rooms. The basement contains staff office and conference space, as well as facilities for students and volunteers.
