Promoting Wellness, Dignity & Independence for Older Adults

“Do Ask, Do Tell” Book Launch
In partnership with the Tenderloin Museum, invites you to the book launch of “Do Ask, Do Tell,” a collection of stories from LGBTQ+ older adults in San Francisco. Some of Curry’s seniors will read their stories from the book and take questions after the reading.
This is a FREE Community Event
When: Thursday, June 12th, 5:30 – 7:30
Where: Tenderloin Museum, 398 Eddy St, San Francisco
The Tenderloin community played a pivotal role in the city’s LGBTQ+ rights movement, serving as a haven for marginalized communities and the site of the Compton’s Cafeteria riot, a key event in the history of trans resistance. Today, the Tenderloin neighborhood is the first legally recognized Transgender district in the world.
The voices of the LGBTQ+ community are more important today than they have ever been before. Join Curry Senior Center at the Tenderloin Museum to hear the voices of these LGBTQ+ seniors who refuse to be silenced again.
Celebrating the diversity & independence of Older Adults in the Tenderloin

Decreased health makes aging in one’s home difficult to maintain and afford, causing older adults to lose housing or be sent to institutional care. At Curry Senior Center we make sure our older adults stay in their homes and their communities. We offer integrated health care, housing, case management support, meals, and community activities for all older adults, especially our most vulnerable, low-income, or unhoused.
We offer a number of services for our clients:

Programs
From Wellness to Behavioral Health, our programs help make sure we take care of the whole person.

Health Clinic
Our community’s seniors deserve access to health care, and our Primary Health Clinic makes it possible.

Housing
Housing is part of healthcare, which is why we have an apartment complex for once-homeless seniors.

Dining Room
Our dining room is more than just meals served, it’s where people gather to connect, share and learn.
