Many people don’t know that Curry has been providing case management services for residents of the famed Cadillac Hotel right in the heart of the Tenderloin. Led by Supervisor of Support Services Simone Sims, her team’s case managers each provide critical services to one floor of tenants of the building. The Cadillac has been housing people from all walks of life who just needed a chance at stable housing for decades. and continues this tradition with a little help from Curry Senior Center. Simone’s team has been able to keep people housed, provide referrals for other social services, and help facilitate a weekly food program. Without these critical services, many people who are at risk for homelessness sometimes fall through the cracks and may end up back on the streets. Curry Senior Center and the Cadillac Hotel are working together to make sure those people are supported and maintain their housing.
