Curry Senior Center is proud to announce that Morningstar Vancil, a client of CSC, has been reappointed to the Commission on the Aging Advisory Council. Her term will end March 31, 2026. With a history of activism and advocacy, MorningStar brings attention to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community to the Council. She was the Community Grand Marshal at the Pride Parade in 2012, and is a founding member of BAAITS, (Bay Area American Indian Two-Spirits). BAAITS is a community-based volunteer organization that offers culturally relevant activities for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex Native Americans, their families and friends. They are part of community initiatives to address health and wellness challenges of Indigenous Two-Spirited LGBTQI communities in the San Francisco Bay Area face. Congratulations MorningStar!
